The entire wedding day to me is just beautiful. Some of my favorite photos are of the bride and her bridesmaids getting ready, her Mom close by, and the groom with his groomsmen. How sweet when there are pretty robes, details with special meaning and champagne passed around.
The wedding day for a bride starts well before guests arrive – she is filled with anticipation and happiness. As a wedding planner, I believe it is extremely important for the getting ready portion of the day to be well thought out and added to the timeline. It can also be beautiful with simple details and touches of the bride’s favorite items.
This idea gave me inspiration for a styled shoot where we would only showcase the bride’s process. From getting hair and makeup completed to getting the gown on. The behind the scenes hours, before she sees her future husband. The quiet moments where she is smiling and relaxed are truly stunning.
I had the most incredible team that helped to put this styled shoot together. Ashton Gardens in Atlanta has the the most gorgeous Chapels (the doors!!) and ballroom. We are so grateful that they allowed us to use their space. Jeff Lott from JL Floral Designs created the beautiful floral arrangements that matched our vision exactly. He is so talented!!
Chrissy Swanson photographed the gorgeous bride on a vintage sofa wearing Kate Ketzal jewelry. Julie Ha’s stationery might be one of my favorite touches to the shoot. She designed the invitation, table number, quote and place cards that are all perfect. Renee Locher is the hair and makeup artist and she was wonderful!! I highly recommend her.
One of really special aspects of this shoot is our gorgeous model, Liz! She is one of my 2016 brides. We won’t show her husband to be these pictures until after the wedding. Shhh! She did such an amazing job as our model! See her engagement photos here.
The amazing bridal gift box is from Southern Grown Vintage. We told Owner, Brittney Frick, our ideas and she created the most beautiful gift that any bride would love to receive. We hope that you enjoy the soft color palette and romantic details. Links to all vendors below. I love how everything turned out and am so excited to share with you!

I met both Molly’s Mom and Dad before I met Molly and Kevin. Her mom was so involved with planning the wedding and making sure every detail was perfect. Aren’t moms the best?? She is such an incredible mom!
Molly and Kevin have been together since high school (swoon!!!). They are just the sweetest couple and being around them, you can feel their love for each other. I not only enjoyed helping on their wedding day, but also getting to know these two incredible people, their amazing families and sweet friends.
Lauren Carnes‘ photos of their wedding day are absolutely unreal pretty!! Lauren is so talented and also so fun to work with. I am so grateful that she shared these stunning photos. Molly and Kevin’s ceremony was held at Dunwoody United Methodist Church. I love the decorations they had for Christmas as this wedding was the weekend before. Their reception followed at Ivy Hall at Roswell Mill.
Zhenya from By Bow Floral Event and Design is outstanding!! Her floral arrangements are fantastic and exactly what Molly envisioned. Thank you Zhenya for all of your help on their big day! Molly and Kevin’s guests danced along to the band all night and really enjoyed Kevin’s song to Molly!! It was SO great – so funny!! We ended the night with fake snow of course for a December wedding! I hope you enjoy their photos!

A few years ago, as I planned my own wedding, one of the first sites that I found to be incredibly helpful was Wedding Wire. Through this site, I completely constructed my vendor team from Catering to Hair and Make-up. Being able to read reviews from real people is so wonderful and each and every vendor that I hired was amazing. I was really thankful to have a one stop place to find everyone.
I now utilize Wedding Wire to market my Planning Company. I have been a member for close to three years now and I love being a part of it. I was so thrilled to find out that I am a 2016 Wedding Wire Couple’s Choice Award Winner. Being a wedding planner has the greatest rewards – seeing your vision come together, meeting amazing people and watching them become a family on their wedding day. One of the greatest gifts is when I receive a 5 star review from a client. Reading their sweet words is the best encouragement and it literally feels like my Birthday when I get one!! Truly!!
I am so honored to win this award among so many of my peers that I admire. The Wedding Wire Couples’ Choice Award recognizes the top five percent of wedding professionals in the country who demonstrate excellence in quality, service, responsiveness and professionalism. Winners are determined by recent reviews from clients! How exciting!!! Thank you to the sweetest clients ever for this award!
