I immediately just loved Janike and Dan the second I met them. They both have the most incredible smiles that make you feel so welcome. From decor meetings to the walk through, Janike was so calm and excited.
Their wedding day at the gorgeous Wimbish House in Atlanta was full of love, amazing food and the most dancing I have ever seen! It was definitely a celebration that their guests will never forget. From their amazing Chuppah that they made themselves to the family photos, there were many personal touches. Those details at a wedding that have special meaning are always my favorite.
Instead of serving the traditional wedding cake, Janike and Dan gave their guests seven options to choose from. They were lined up to try the different choices, including oreo, carrot cake and best of all, chocolate!
I am blown away by the beautiful and touching photos by Krista Turner Photography as well as the fantastic floral decor by Courtney at Peachy Keen. I hope you enjoy a peak at their day and beginning to a beautiful marriage. The dancing photos are just amazing!!

You are all going to love Chrissy Swanson, owner of Chrissy Noel Photography. I met Chrissy at the beginning of the year for lunch and we planned a styled shoot together. On the day of the shoot, our model let us know that she wouldn’t make it. We had a beautiful gown, lovely cake and all of the gorgeous décor ready to go. Chrissy stayed calm and handled the situation like a pro. She made a phone call and we had another model, who was absolutely amazing, show up within 30 minutes. Chrissy made her feel incredibly comfortable and is wonderful at directing poses and using her creativity to get the perfect shot. I hope you enjoy our fun questionnaire, get to know her a little better and love the stunning photos of her work below. Vendor Highlight Q & A
Tell us a little bit about you and your business.
Photography is something I have always had a passion for. Growing up, my mom always had a camera in her hand. I mean literally, we have thousands of picture of my family. I guess you can say it runs in the family. The first time I thought about making a career in photography was probably when I was in middle school. I watched the move Step Mom where Julia Robert’s character was a photographer. I know it’s weird, but I loved that movie and how in the end her work brought them all together. When I was in high school, I worked at a photography studio in the mall. I really loved it.
After graduation, I decided I was going to go to school for Medical Assisting. I completed my degree, began my job and realized that something was missing. In 2012, I started Chrissy Noel Photography on the side. I am now running CNP full time and I am the happiest I have ever been. My business is thriving and I’m gaining new skills each day. Moral of my story – Never give up on your dream, follow your heart and take a leap of faith. You may surprise yourself.
Where are you from?
I am a Georgia Peach all the way!
Why should a couple hire a professional photographer?
I think this is really important. Coming from experience, the day of your wedding is a whirlwind and there are a lot of things you won’t remember. When you have a professional, you can relive your wedding day through every detailed photo. You put so much time into planning your wedding and a professional photographer can capture your ideas in a creative way that you will keep forever.
Do you have a favorite part of the wedding day?
My favorite part of the wedding day is right after the couple is married. They are both so happy and it shows all over their faces. I just love it!!
How early should clients book you as their photographer? What is the process after booking?
I normally book 6-12 months from the wedding day. I have a meeting with my potential clients so we can talk and see if we are a good fit for each other. Having a good relationship with your photographer is very important in order for you to love your images.
Favorite place to travel?
The beach, of course!
As a wedding planner, I always remember to bring my bridal emergency kit to a wedding. I need something in it each and every time. I have had to use the sewing kit to fix a groom’s bow tie, band aids for paper cuts, tide pens for drink stains and much more. It is different each event, but I am always grateful to have it with me. Whether you are reading this as a bride, maid of honor, mother of the bride or even as a wedding planner, hopefully you will see several things that will be useful to you at a future wedding.
Below are all of the items in my kit. If the time comes that you need something in it, you will be so happy to not have to send someone to the store on such a busy day to pick it up. Happy planning!!

- lint brush
- shoe polisher
- nail kit (emery board, clippers, clear nail polish)
